Playing Catch Up!!

So, here I am, 8 1/2 months later, updating our blog!  (SORRY!)  Plus I am wanting the blog to go in a different direction then me just rambling, I want to show you cooking, and photography (once I get a new camera) so those changes will take place.  But honestly, I am the kind of person that gets in a routine and I stick with that routine.  This is our routine, get up, commute almost an hour to work, work all day, commute almost an hour home, walk the dogs, fix dinner, pick up a little bit and enjoy relaxing with my hubby on our couch and head to bed!  We were really busy around the holidays last year and got pretty busy in June & July, it is now starting to calm down a bit and now that I am home, I can enjoy sitting at my computer some. (Mostly staring at Facebook)  Of course, Mike is fishing today.  He still really enjoys fishing, and I DO NOT see how anyone can enjoy doing anything outside.  The temperature has seriously been TOO hot for me.

But to catch you up on our life, several things have happened, of course.  We are still in the process of paying our debt off (BABY STEP 2!!)  If you know me, you will know that I want a baby more than anything, I have baby radar any where I go, I stare and it makes my happy just to see their sweet faces, however, we are waiting until we are debt free, we just know that it will be easier on us, money wise, if we wait just a little bit longer, and trust me it BETTER happen soon!  We had a little bump in the road this week - our A/C went out!  WORST TIME OF THE YEAR by the way.  But these things happen to homeowners, right?!  It was the compressor, and it kicked us in the butt, I am pretty bummed out, it is setting us back some.  I am determined to be debt free by the end of the year though.

We are both 25 now, WOW 25!! I feel super old (I mean I know it's not, but still) For Mikey's birthday we went hiking, that was HIS idea!  Don't get me wrong, I like hiking, but not 8 mile hikes, I honestly thought I was not going to make it back to the car, I complained the WHOLE way back (ok, so I feel bad now).  It was downhill the first 4 miles, it never occurred to me we would have to go back up.  I am pretty sure I almost passed out.  Good thing it was in March and still kind of chilly outside.  For my birthday we didn't really do much.  Family and friends came to our house the day before so that was fun!  My wonder in-laws got me tickets to go see PARAMORE!!!! Lexi is coming with!  CANT WAIT!! August 21st!!  I WILL BE TAKING PICTURES!

Also, in June my mom went into the hospital - she went in for a routine procedure and obviously the doctor did something wrong and she ended up in the hospital for 7 days.  I never want to see my mama in that much pain again, she cried, I cried.  I am so glad she was ok, but really gave us a scare!  We also got to see Mike's dad who is deployed to Iraq right now, he is really busy over there so Mike doesn't really get a chance to talk to him.  He will hopefully be back in Germany soon.  Maybe one day we can go visit him there, we would really love to!

Lily Brooke Aug. 2010
So on to my b-e-a-utiful niece!! Lily Brooke, how is now almost 1 year OLD!  She is walking/sprinting, talking, and busy being the cutest little girl on planet earth!! We do not get to see hear as much as we would like to, she lives almost an hour away but we still get pictures of her from family all the time!  We are going to spend time with her and Alisha on the 22nd, I cant wait!  I am sure I will have pictures of that sweet little face!  Speaking of babies, there are some important people back in my life.  Maranda and Ethan - Maranda was in my wedding, I have known her since 2006 and she has been a very special friend to me.  Mar moved back to TN and remarried, and had another sweet little baby, Kaleb!  I am so happy she is back in my life, they mean SO much to me!!! :)
Ethan is now 4 years old, time goes by too fast!!

Mar, Ethan & Me (2006)

To wrap things up, sorry I know this has been a long blog.  Mike still works at Narcarato but hoping to get back into school in January and he just completed the physical portion of becoming a fireman!  He now has to take the written portion, which I know he will do great!  Normally it takes several tries for someone to become a fireman but hopefully he will be chosen this time!! As for me, I recently got a new job in Murfreesboro, which is the town we live in!!! I commuted to Franklin for over 4 years and the trip was over 80 miles a day so words cannot express my excitement!  My job is now about 10 minutes from our house.  I now work at the Diabetes Center MTMC and I am the Program Administrative Assistant, which is basically the best job.  It has only been my first week and I LOVE IT!  I am working with patients which is what I wanted to do.  I am very blessed, this job basically fell into my lap and it just seems like things are falling into place for our little family ro start growing.  I am going to make it a point to keep this blog updated and make it part of my routine!  Sorry I talked your ear off! :)
